Sky has broadcast live Premier League matches since its inception in 1992.

Sky Sports has been as ever present as the Premier League and has contributed to the phenomenal worldwide success and popularity of the League.

Sky were due to broadcast 128 matches live in 2019/20 along with "near" live (long-form highlights) in its Football First programme.

However, after the Premier League had to resume its 2019/20 season behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic, Sky were able to broadcast additional matches until the end of the campaign to enable more UK fans to enjoy the action from their homes.

Premier League fixtures can be seen on Sky's channel "Sky Sports Premier League", which launched for the 2017/18 season with regular timeslots on Saturday at 5.30pm and Sunday at 2pm and 4.30pm.

Sky also has the rights to show live Friday matches at 7.30pm to 8pm, Saturday 19.45 kick-offs and Mondays at 8pm.

Each match will feature a number of former professionals providing expert analysis, along with sophisticated software to enhance the viewers' experience from their armchairs.

As well as its live coverage and Football First programmes, Sky also offers an extensive Saturday afternoon experience with Soccer Saturday, featuring analysis from former players, as well as an alternative take on the week’s proceedings on Soccer AM.
