Azpilicueta: Get boosted to help stop COVID spread

Chelsea captain urges fans to get their COVID-19 vaccinations to protect themselves and their families

Cesar Azpilicueta has urged supporters to get a COVID-19 vaccination booster jab.

Azpilicueta is one of the Premier League players and managers who have recorded messages encouraging fans to get their vaccinations.

The Chelsea captain says getting vaccinated is an important way that fans can help to stop the spread of the virus.

"Getting the booster is the best possible defence against COVID for you and your family," he says.

"It's more important than ever, because COVID-19 is spreading faster. So if you are eligible, get boosted now."

With the introduction of the Government’s "Autumn and Winter Plan B" last month, the Premier League confirmed requirements for all fans attending matches.

All those aged 18 and over attending Premier League matches must complete a COVID status self-declaration via their club's website ahead of each matchday.
